Shila Jassal – Co-ordinator, MDC

Thank you to those who attended the online talk yesterday by Anna Feindel on End of Life Presence Communication. What a brilliant session- so rich with information and heart sharing. There was so much for us all to take away from it, especially about the power of presence and how to truly be with those at end of life.

Anna Feindel, Guest Speaker

Hi Shila,
What a wonderful experience, thank you for having me present to your lovely group. I really had a great time. They are a very special group and their discussions and questions were excellent.

All the best and lots of love,

Alison Gollay, MDC member

Dear Shila,
Anna’s talk was informative and affirming. Thank you, Anna!

Stephen Parrett, MDC member

Anna gave a very informative talk and it garnered helpful responses. The comprehensive talk provided food for thought. Reflection of the subject allowed aspects within me to be identified. For me, it was the awareness that the person is invariably in the ‘present’.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Medway Death Cafe event today. I was very humbled by all the deep heartfelt sharing. Every time we meet in this safe space, the sharings get deeper and deeper. The discussions were very moving and thought provoking that touched everyone’s hearts. ❤️

A big thank you also to the donation of snacks brought by everyone; very generous indeed, including the extra mugs donated to us by Lee ????

What a truly wonderful group you are. Love you all

Hello Shila and all the lovely people that came to the first meeting of the Medway Death Cafe. I’m sure after today it will prove to be good for all of us, and others that join the group.

My experience of the three Medway Death Cafes that I have attended so far this year, is that each has been different, and all have been very worthwhile attending.

I have greatly appreciated that participants have felt safe to open up and express a diverse range of beliefs, feelings and views on death, dying, grief and so much more.

To me the group has felt very supportive, open minded and compassionate. This I feel has helped a number of people present to speak freely about very personal experiences, as others listen to what is being shared.

My thanks go to Shila for all the energy, time and love she has put into creating the new Death Cafe in Medway. My gratitude also goes to the group of people who support Shila, as well as everyone who has come to the Death Cafe gatherings.

I have found being part of Death Cafes to be very enjoyable, informative and enriching. I feel that having participated in them has also added value to the quality of my life.

I look forward to being at future Death Cafes in Medway, and connecting with others who are there.

Wishing you and the world love and peace, Adela

Thank you Shila and everyone for such a lovely, warm and supportive group. We shared some painful memories and difficult areas and once again the group responded with such care and compassion. There were tears, laughter and such openness and honesty from those present. My appreciation goes to everyone who attended, and who contributed in so many different ways. These include sharing, listening, helping to set up and clear up, donating goods and money, admin work and so much more.
Pat the comments you have posted are an added bonus. Well done. Sending everyone loving and healing thoughts.

Thank you to everyone who attended the event last night and shared from the heart. We had a number of people joining us from abroad and out of county. My appreciation to everyone who made the time to attend.
